Homemade | Creamy | Gluten-Free Option
This is the exact recipe we use in the shop! It’s creamy, refreshing, and perfectly spiced—just the way our customers love it. We add a splash of heavy cream for extra richness (optional, but we highly recommend it!). Bonus: it’s naturally gluten-free!

Ingredients:
- 1 cup uncooked WHITE RICE 🍙
- 2 ½ TBSP CINNAMON

- In a blender, combine rice, cinnamon, and water.
➤ Blend for 1 minute until the rice is finely ground. - Pour the mixture into a container with a lid (at least 1-quart size).
- Let it sit at room temperature for at least 3 hours to infuse.
🥛 STEP 2: Add Milks & Flavor
After soaking:
Strain the rice mixture using a coffee bag, nut milk bag, or fine mesh strainer into a clean container (about 3-quart size). Discard the rice solids.

Instructions:
Whisk everything into the strained rice water until fully combined and smooth.
🧊 Final Steps:
-
Pour your horchata into a clean milk jug or jar.
-
Refrigerate.
-
🔁 Shake well before each use—you shouldn’t see any cinnamon settled at the bottom!
💡 Tip:
This horchata is delicious on its own or mixed with fresh strawberries & whip cream!
Or cold brew for a creamy cinnamon coffee!
