TRUTH: when I first started making cupcakes I used cake mixes...I always added extra ingredients like sour cream, milk, pudding mix, etc to the cake mix better. When I started selling them the most asked question was “do you make everything from scratch?” I wanted so badly to be able to say “YES EVERYTHING IS MADE FROM SCRATCH” & that’s when the journey began...I started experimenting & came up with my new cake recipes and threw out the cake mixes.
Either or, it doesn’t really matter if you use a cake mix or not…it really matters how it tastes! 💖 but for me subconsciously I didn’t feel like I could honestly say “it’s made from scratch” using a cake mix but going back to cake mixes…here’s my favorites banana bread using a cake mix!
It’s soooooo moist and super easy! Anyone can make this!
• 2 super ripe bananas MASHED
Add
• 3 eggs
Mix
Add
• 1 cup brown sugar
Mix
Add
• 1 cup milk
• 1 cup oil
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 small package vanilla instant pudding mix
Mix
Add 1 yellow cake mix - I prefer @bettycrocker
Mix
Spray into bread pans (I used lasagna pans ha ha) fill 3/4 full
Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top
Bake at 350 until you can stick a tooth pick in the middle and it comes out clean. Around 45 min to a hour...depending on your pans.
